One does not have to join or run a marathon in order to be active. Doing mild physical activities will do. Walking for about 30 minutes everyday can help a person burn some calories and lose a few pounds. Furthermore, walking is considered to be a great complement to overall fitness, weight control as well as good health. Like jogging, walking also burns a lot of calories but it is much easier to carry out. Walking increases the metabolism too and is effective in reducing appetite. As with other aerobic exercises, walking has a little suppressing effect on one’s appetite.

Exercising is something people are always told to carry out in order to stay fit and have a healthy body. However, there are also other ways that could help and these also include getting rid of stress and having a good disposition in life.
